About AIED

AIED 2026 will mark the 27th edition of a longstanding series of international conferences recognised for high-quality and innovative research on AI-assisted systems and cognitive science approaches in educational computing. The International Artificial Intelligence in Education (IAIED) Society organises the AIED conference series and aims to advance the science and engineering of intelligent human-technology ecosystems that support learning. It promotes rigorous research and development of interactive and adaptive learning environments for learners of all ages, across all domains.

The IAIED Society brings together a global community of leading researchers by organising not only the AIED conference series, but also the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education (IJAIED) and other related activities. IAIED is a proud member of the International Alliance to Advance Learning in the Digital Era (IAALDE), an alliance of research societies dedicated to advancing computer-supported learning.

The Society is governed by an Executive Committee in accordance with the IAIED Constitution, which guides efforts to support AI in Education research and development worldwide. Since its launch on January 1, 1993, the Society has grown to include over 1,500 members from 40 countries. A brief summary of the Society’s history and details about past AIED conferences are available on the IAIED website.

Notably, AIED is ranked A in CORE (top 14.92% of all 784 ranked venues), underscoring its reputation as one of the leading international conferences in computer science and education research.
